On November 18, 2014, Cherri Barmore achieved her 20 year anniversary of becoming a Sweet Adeline. After 20 years, Cherri still enjoys singing and ringing chords, just as much as she did the very first time.
Since 2006, Cherri not only sings, but she is the DIRECTOR of Monroe Sweet Adelines. As director, she chooses the music, interprets it as she chooses, and then imparts her "take" on the song to the other singers, which creates a unique, specific sound, which is like no other chorus's interpretation and presentation of a song. We love you Cherri, and appreciate your dedication and loyalty to your art form, and to this chorus. Here's to the next 20!
The Monroe chorus has lost members over the past year, because of family priorities, and members have moved away. So Cherri would like to see new faces and hear new voices of girls and ladies in the northeast Louisiana area, who would enjoy singing and MUSICALLY ENHANCING LIVES ...
